They implement energy-efficient projects, use solar panels, heat pump and a forest-based biomass boiler. In addition, a swimming pool out of recycled materials has been built which operates with less water supply.

They achieved to lower the costs for water heating around 30% for the winter and 100% for the summer, as well as the CO2 imprint and they were able to use wood waste (pellets, branches, etc.) that comes from wood processing.

Energy Efficiency Project

One of their circular projects is the creation of a heating system that consists of a Tank in Tank Buffer (2000lts), solar panels, a heat pump and a forest-based biomass boiler.

They achieved to lower the costs for water heating by around 30% for the winter and 100% for the summer, as well as the CO2 imprint and they were able to use wood waste (pellets, branches, etc.) that comes from wood processing.
Impact
Economic impact
Owners lowered the costs for water heating by around 30% for the winter and 100% for the summer.

Social impact
No social impact of the business has been mentioned.

Environmental impact
By creating the heating system, owners lowered the CO2 imprint and they can use wood waste (pellets, branches, etc.) that comes from wood processing. The heat pump uses very little electricity, compared to the amount of heat that produces. Very efficient.
Resources
Human resources
Owners could not find proper technicians to support this system, so they had various issues especially in the beginning but with personal work, reading and brainstorming, they managed to solve all the issues that appeared.

Financial resources
Very expensive project, and owners got financial aid from ESPA to implement it. They used to be the first ones in the region who created this system and possibly one out of ten businesses all over Greece that adopted this combo system.

Other resources
The original idea was taken from a German company and it has been recreated. It was easy to find all the materials needed for the construction.
