CircuTour Connect

CircuTour Connect is an innovative exchange community circular project that aims to foster sustainable tourism practices by
- building local networks and
- effectively communicating the message of responsible travel to a broader audience.

The project focuses on several key aspects to create a thriving and sustainable tourism ecosystem.
Impact
Economic impact
By promoting the use of locally sourced ingredients in local cuisine, the project reduces the reliance on imported goods and long-distance transportation. This can lead to cost savings for businesses in the tourism industry, such as restaurants and hotels, by eliminating or reducing transportation and import costs. Additionally, supporting local farmers and producers may result in more competitive pricing, creating opportunities for cost savings.

Social impact
By promoting sustainable tourism practices and fostering local networks, the project stimulates economic growth by attracting responsible travelers who value authentic experiences and environmental conservation. This, in turn, leads to increased revenue streams, job opportunities, and social development within the tourism ecosystem, benefiting both local businesses and the overall community.

Environmental impact
Through its emphasis on sustainable tourism practices, the project aims to preserve and protect local ecosystems and biodiversity. By engaging local stakeholders, including tour operators and guides, in responsible tourism management, the project ensures that activities are conducted in a manner that minimizes negative impacts on natural habitats, wildlife, and sensitive ecosystems. This includes promoting responsible wildlife viewing, enforcing ethical guidelines, raising awareness about conservation efforts and keeping the visitors numbers low (no more than 15 pax per group).

Resources
Human resources
There is a constant need for networking with local farmers, suppliers and food producers.

Financial resources
These are assured through partnerships with local producers and different local stakeholders.

Other resources
Investment in time (need to contact people and explain), use of sustainable examples that worked in other parts of the world, establishment of networks with local farmers, suppliers, and food producers. Also, building and maintaining relationships with these stakeholders is crucial for ensuring a steady supply of high-quality local produce for the tourism industry. Finally, partnerships with local businesses, tourism associations, government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, and community organizations.
