We are introducing a visual tool here to give a global view of the potential impact of ReSOLVE's circular actions/strategies applied through different service production (SERVUCTION) elements across the different categories of small tourism businesses (STBCs).

Deep Dive into Key Topics
The visual tool we've developed is a straightforward matrix. It clearly expresses the level of circular impact of the ReSOLVE framework across different business categories.

As you can see, different colours depend on how much circular impact it has. The green squares are the ones with the most impact.

In the table/matrix, we can distinguish:
In the rows, grouped by ReSOLVE strategy, the elements of the service production process (the elements of the servuction), which specific circular projects under that ReSOLVE strategy can improve.
In the columns are placed the Small Tourism Business Categories that are the object of study in our project.
The crossing of rows and columns indicates the potential impact of the circular projects in each case, with a High, Medium, or Low level of impact.

The matrix allows two types of readings: horizontal and vertical. Vertically, we can analyse which category of tourism business has the most significant potential for circular improvement, either as a whole, including all ReSOLVE strategies, or strategy by strategy. The horizontal analysis allows us to see the potential impact of a ReSOLVE strategy or its application to a service element across the different tourism business categories.

To facilitate its review, we have divided it into three pieces, which we are presenting below:

As seen in this part of the matrix, Tourist Guide Services is the tourism business category where the potential impact of the circular projects associated with the Regenerate and Share strategies is most significant. This is due to the fact that there are few or no delimited spaces for providing the service and few tools used in the service.
In contrast, the business categories where the circular projects associated with these strategies will have the most significant impact are Food & Beverage, Entertainment and Accommodation:

Regarding Optimise and Loop's ReSOLVE strategies analysed, all the associated circular projects are highly applicable to all categories of tourism business. Only the Tourist Guide Services category presents some lower potential impacts due to its nature as a service in which few resources, own resources, and tools are involved in its execution.

In the application of the circular projects associated with the strategies of Visrtualise and Exchange, we can highlight:
● Virtualise: Virtualisation through projects associated with SERVICE MANAGEMENT has a high impact on all categories of tourism business, so in the processes of circular improvement of tourism businesses of all types, SERVICE MANAGEMENT VIRTUALISATION should occupy a place of preferential attention.
● Exchange: We are again faced with a highly applicable strategy for all business categories. However, the absolute impact will be greater in business categories that use more space and energy than in those that do not use both elements intensively.

Interactive exercises/reflective questions
Exercise

Discuss why Tourism Guiding Services are the less potentially impactful business category regarding ReSOLVE-associated circular projects.
How can we stress the focus on the projects that really impact this category? Define examples of work in some application-specific ideas for Tourism Guiding Services.

Exercise: Multiple choice

Within the presented options, which tourism business category has the highest potential impact for circular projects associated with ReSOLVE strategies?

Exercise: Multiple choice

Within the below presented circular project servuction group, which has no potential impact in all the tourism business categories?
